BONUS TIP: How To Safely Handle Phone Calls From The CRA
When a CRA agent calls:
(1) Do NOT provide any personal information
(2) Do NOT trust the phone number listed on your caller ID
Instead, ask for their:
NAME
PHONE NUMBER
OFFICE NAME or LOCATION
Tell them you need to verify their information, and that you will call them back.
End the call, and verify that the agent's phone number is legitimate below.
