I started working in the financial services industry in 2000 and have experience in Canada and in the UK.  I have multiple designations including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional designation, which I obtained in 2003.  I worked as an Associate Financial Advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy, and as an advisor with Canada Life in the pension plan department.  In 2011, I joined the Matchett Financial team as an Associate Financial Advisor.  I became the proud new owner of Matchett Financial Services in 2021, and I assure our clients that they will continue to enjoy the exceptional level of service they have come to know and value.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dennis, and our two kids.  I love to travel, play golf, play tennis and ski.

I began my financial career in 1972 working at the Royal Bank of Canada.  I have my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional designation and have happily lived in the Ripley/Kincardine area all my life.  Since 1987, thanks to the wisdom and experience of our team, as well as our shared passion for understanding clients’ needs and building their financial success, Matchett Financial Services has grown to be one of the largest independent investment firms across Canada.

My husband Rob and I raised two wonderful children in Kincardine, and we continue to enjoy the area with all it has to offer ― especially the amazing sunsets over Lake Huron.  I also enjoy spending time in my gardens, travelling, golfing, biking, and curling.

I began working in the financial services industry in 2004 as an administrator for Matchett Financial Services.  To gain a broader range of experience, I decided to move into the banking system in 2007, which provided me with a strong financial background in both investing and credit.  In 2018, I rejoined the Matchett team where I received tremendous support and encouragement in completing the Professional Financial Advisor (PFA™) designation, which I obtained in September of 2020.

As a client of Matchett Financial Services, I understand how important it is for you to reach your financial goals.  I have a strong desire to help you navigate your way through some of life’s most important decisions.

I attended the University of Western Ontario before entering into the financial services industry, and prior to joining the Matchett Financial team in 2016, I worked in London Ontario at a HollisWealth office for four years.

My husband Dustin and I love to call Kincardine home and get out golfing as often as we can.  In 2018, we welcomed our first daughter and then in 2021, we welcomed our second daughter.  We are very much looking forward to this next chapter in our lives.

I started out in the financial services industry as a co-op student during high school and for the majority of my career, I have continued to do so.  That seems like ages ago!  In 2008 I joined the Matchett team where I do the bulk of processing trades for our office in my role as a Licensed Assistant.   

Bruce County has always been home to us.  Our country home near Ripley was a great place to raise our family.  In my free time I volunteer, garden and thoroughly enjoy a great read!

Specializing in Tax Preparation

In 2010, I began my career in the accounting industry.  I graduated from Conestoga College with honours and continue to further my education with ongoing courses and seminars.  I moved to beautiful Kincardine in 2019 to work as the tax specialist and assist Sarah Proudlove.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and spending time in the great outdoors.

Administrative Assistant

New to the financial industry and Matchett Financial Services, I am enjoying applying my skillset from my Law Clerk training and background.  The team continues to graciously teach me their knowledge of the business.  My hope is to gain further education in the field and grow professionally within the team.

My husband, three children and I moved to Kincardine at the end of 2021.  When I am not chauffeuring my children to all things sports, I enjoy the beaches of Kincardine, travel, podcasts, and sitting around a campfire at my trailer. 

Receptionist

 Since joining the Matchett Financial Services team in 2022, I've learned a lot about how to help our clients navigate the complex world of financial planning, and it often starts with knowing their needs.  I am happy to direct our clients' inquiries to the appropriate staff member who can help them best, moving things along smoothly day to day.  I also support our advisor's assistants as much as I can, and perform important upkeep tasks in the office; after all, it is vital that we have enough coffee and pens for ourselves and our clients!

I've lived in Kincardine and area for over 20 years, though I'm originally from Thunder Bay.  In my spare time, my family and I love a variety of activities from watching the sunset, running a scenario in paintball, or solving escape rooms.  Downtime usually looks like a mental workout, running a carefully crafted TTRPG session or a murder mystery dinner party at home.

Marketing Coordinator

I started working at Matchett Financial Services when I was much younger with simpler tasks like filing and paper shredding.  From there, I graduated to the Reception desk, which I still cover on occasion.

As marketing coordinator, I create our advertisements, manage sponsorships, update our website, post to our Facebook and Instagram pages, and more.

On the side, I have a couple of creative projects I work on.  When I have time for leisurely activities, I look forward to relaxing with family and friends, or seeing live entertainment.
